What I've learned along the way...

This is just a little tiny gold mine that I have found, or I have had great success with.

"Fresh" off the press...

Published in invoicingcontractor by jeremyreger | Comment (0)
Well, I am probably at the end of my 2 post stretch of a play on words, but FreshBooks.com is by far the only way to perform cost efficient invoicing for clients.

It allows you to book time, to create online invoices, and allows your to e-mail them to a client. Then the client can log into your account and pay you via many portals. (Pay Pal, 2CO, etc...)

Its free to use, unless you start mailing invoices out, but its totally priceless in the features it gives you to use! Go check it out!

O By The Way...

I have yet to mention, one of the best resources that was my lively hood for quite some time. After I left my last position for many reasons, I was literally left out for the dogs when it came to providing for my family.

I came across this incredible resource which, in my opinion, http://www.odesk.com/ is the best meeting place out there to connect clients with developers. You do not have to put any money upfront, you dont have have to do anything really except pass a pretty easy test. Then, they give you a limit of jobs you can apply for, but if you read and bid correctly, the first 7 jobs you apply for, you SHOULD land. Then, that will be enough to get you the next 7. When you get a certain rating you get more and up to 20 in a 7 day period. I cant use all mine nowadays, but its great.

Busy...

Well, as you can see, here I am, a month or so later, just getting to write again. No I dont have the time, and no I dont have a specific topic. However, I have to touch on some of the things I have been into lately. Some very cool things.

One of the coolest things I have found is SlideShare.net, for me, a busy type of guy, I like to take notes, and I like to watch the slides, but normally if I'm not listening to the presenter... I dont get much out of it. Its nice to have those presenters who are just talking slides, but thats not usually what you get at a paid conference, or a good webinar. So! Nowadays, They have a cool thing where the good Webinars have their slides up on their own sites or somewhere like SlideShare.net. One of the best things, is that they are on there for you to search through their database.

The other coolest thing, which is how I found out about SlideShare.net is.... Drum roll please... BrightTalk.net. If you are an IT professional/Web Developer/Thristy for knowledge type o' guy... This is the place for you. It has "Webinars" on everything you can think of, from Social Marketing to taking the trash out... Well you get the point.

Hopefully some of you get something out of this, I have tons more goodies to start popping in, and going to set an appointment in my Crackberry to come write one of these a week. Now, I just need to set an appointment to set an appointment.

Honestly... This is going to be where I sit down, and lay down everything I've learned that particular day... Im not saying by any means I will do this everyday by any means, but I get my hands dirty with so much stuff daily, this could be some what of a cnet review (well maybe not) but just getting whatever out...

Thanks for reading, I promise, if you are in a Project Manager or Web Developer/Designer field, you will get something out of this eventually...
